📜 ICON Convention Policies

These policies help ensure that ICON remains a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone. By purchasing a badge or entering an ICON Convention event, you agree to follow these guidelines.

🔒 Privacy

Information collected during badge registration is used only for registration verification and communication related to ICON Convention events. We respect your privacy and do not sell attendee information.

📸 Photography & Media

Photography and video recording may occur throughout the convention. By attending ICON, you grant permission for your likeness to appear in promotional materials, social media, websites, livestreams, and future convention marketing.

If you prefer not to appear in promotional photography, please notify Registration or an ICON staff member when you arrive.

ICON photographs, videos, logos, and other media may not be reproduced or used commercially without written permission.

🎟 Badge Names

Badges should display the name you normally use in everyday life. It does not need to be your full legal name, but it should be the name friends, family, coworkers, or classmates know you by.

  • First and last names are required.
  • Common nicknames and shortened names are welcome.
  • Online aliases, gamer tags, and screen names should not be used.
  • ICON does not require attendees to use a deadname.
  • ICON reserves the right to reject inappropriate badge names.

👨‍👩‍👧 Attending with Minors

  • All attendees age 6 and older must have a convention badge.
  • Children under age 10 must remain with a parent or legal guardian.
  • Attendees ages 10–17 must have a responsible adult present at the convention at all times.

🛍 Selling, Trading & Demonstrations

  • Commercial sales are limited to approved vendors, the Game Swap, and designated Flea Market events.
  • Personal game trading is welcome.
  • Open gaming tables may be used to teach or demonstrate games but may not be reserved for extended periods when not actively in use.
  • Advertising displays, banners, or promotional announcements require prior approval from ICON.

🤝 Code of Conduct

ICON is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and harassment-free environment for everyone.

Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, stalking, unwanted physical contact, offensive language, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

If someone asks you to stop a behavior, stop immediately.

If you experience or witness harassment, please notify an ICON staff member as soon as possible so the situation can be addressed.

ICON reserves the right to remove attendees who violate this policy without refund.

⚖ Liability

Attendees participate at their own risk. ICON is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property and reserves the right to refuse admission or remove anyone who does not follow convention policies.

🧳 Lost & Found

Lost items may be turned in or claimed at the Registration Desk during convention hours.

Unclaimed items remaining after the convention closes become the property of ICON.

🍔 Food & Drinks

Please follow all food and beverage policies established by the venue.

Attendees are expected to help keep gaming areas clean and dispose of trash appropriately.
